TED FAILON
He earned a Bachelor in Broadcast Communication degree from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila in 1996, and has attended the Bachelor of Laws program of Arellano University. Failon first worked as an announcer at Radyo DIWA 531 kHz in Tacloban City from 1983 to 1988, and later Program Director at DWGV-FM 99.1 in Angeles City,Pampanga from 1988 to 1990.
In 1990, he moved to ABS-CBN where he went on to become an executive producer and news anchor. In ABS-CBN, he anchored Hoy Gising! from 1992 to 2001, TV Patrol in 1992, and Pulso: Aksyon Balita from 1999 to 2000.
He also joined DZMM in 1990 and was first heard in the Gising Pilipinas until 1997. He also hosted the top public service radio show Aksyon Ngayon with Korina Sanchez from 1991.
On January 10, 2011, he was joined by TV Patrol co-anchor Noli De Castro as the anchor of Radyo Patrol Balita: Alas Siyete. He was also assigned to join De Castro in his radio program Kabayan in its last 30 minutes after the said newscast. He also currently hosts a weekday morning commentary program on DZMM entitledTambalang Failon at Webb (successor of Tambalang Failon at Sanchez with Korina Sanchez) with Pinky Webb.

MAAN MACAPAGAL
Maan is one of the more credible correspondents of the country’s largest TV network ABS-CBN. One of the highlights in her career was when the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf kidnapped her back in 2000 while working as a researcher and writer on location with cameraman Val Cuenca in Jolo, Sulu.
They became captive in the group’s jungle camp for one-week. Since then, her name became familiar to news and public affairs scene as she became a regular reporter in ABS-CBN.
The incident in Sulu became the “claim to fame” for Maan as she was noted for her courage and dedication in her profession as a journalist.
Truly, this simple yet brave PUP alumna is the manifestation of the courage and dedication of a true-blooded PUPian. Her being a dedicated campus journalist back in her college days made her what she is today.

BAYANI AGBAYANI
Bayani Agbayani, a name that is very common to us especially when we are fond of comedy shows and movies, a very talented Comedian and now one of the stars of the country’s largest network, ABS-CBN.
He is in fact a graduate of Mass Communication major in Broadcasting. He starred in different comedy movies like Pera o Bayong, Mana Mana Tiba Tiba,Otso-otso pamela-mela wan, Walang Iwanan, Peksman and Sangano’t Sangago, sitcom such as Super Laff in, Kaya ni Mister. Kaya ni Misis and Okay Fine Whatever,and Noontime Shows llike Magandang Tanghali Bayan.
His movies truly made each one of us laugh. Bayani captured the heart of the Filipino viewers through his wit and sense of humor.
REYNANTE DANSECO
Reynante Noscal Danseco, his full name is a Filipino sports editor, journalist, television commentator-host for boxing events and international boxing judge and reporter.
He was a boxing writer/contributor for Philippine Daily Inquirer from 2003 to 2004 and Manila Times from 2004 to 2006. He was also connected with other dailies, such as Bulgar, Saksi , and Balita as reporter and served as sports editor of Init sa Balita andArangkada newspapers from 1998 to 2000.
He took up vocational course at Systems Technology Institute before he earned his Mass Communications, Major in Journalism degree at PUP in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Collegiate Experience
- Served as Junior Council Officer of PUP College of Languages and Mass Communications as freshman student.
- Elected No. 1 Councilor of PUP College of Languages and Mass Communications when he was a freshman student.
- Elected No. 3 councilor of PUP Central Student Council and worked as treasurer and Secretary General.
- Editor-in-chief, Student Review, the official newslater of PUP central student council.
- Appointed Chairman, Sports Committee of Earth Savers Movement.
NASH ANGGAHAN
Is one of the 2011 Ani ng Dangal for Cinema grantee for upholding Filipino artistic excellence in the international film scene.
He won the best film on the 1st South East Asian Student Documentary Awards - International Science Film Festival 2010 held in Thailand with his film "iskWATER". The Grand Prize winner of the ASEAN-Korea Multimedia Competition 2010 held in South Korea and the 1st Place Winner of the Asian Development Bank's My View Video Competition 2011
JOHN GEMPERLE
A radio DJ of Love Radio 90, Papa Jack was a former instructor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He provided training on the basics of announcing and technical know-how to students and faculty of PUP. He helped with the development of DZMC 98.3, the PUP FM campus radio station that is housed at the College of Communication. Papa Jack’s programs, “True Love Conversations” and “Wild Confessions”, have established his own style that created an all-time record high in audience ratings which was achieved only by Johnny Midnight’s “Toning” sessions back in the late 70s and early 80s.
ALJO BENDIJO
Aljo is currently one of the hosts, together with Veronica Baluyut-Jimenez, of One Morning shown on NBN 4, 9 and 13 since 2007. He was the main host of News watch and Aksyon Balita. NBN also got him to anchor Teledyaryo the Final Edition with Kathy San Gabriel and Cathy Vilar.
ZHANDER CAYABYAB
Zhander took up Bachelor of Broadcast Communication at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and graduated as cumlaude. He currently works for DZMM as a Sports news reporter as well as a sound effects operator and voice over talent for Ted Failon’s “Failon Ngayon”. He is also a researcher under the management of Gina Abellara and handles various DZMM programs such Tambalang Failon at Webb, Kabayan and etc.
LIEZEL GARCIA
A graduate of the College of Communication, She was one of the top scholars in Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. She has currently debuted hit singles like “Di Ko Kayang Limutin” and is under the management of Star Records.
