PASANs Eye Opener
Each child wants to pursue his dreams
That is what Director Maria Adria Victoria Sicam learned as she and the production team is doing the documentary Pasan.
Pasan is a PUP-COC documentary tackling on child labor in the steep mountains of Wawa Montalban which grabbed the best TV Production tilt in the 29th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) last October 25, 2007.
The documentary exposes the mounting rate of child labor in the country. It depicts children about 15 years old and younger suffering from working like adults despite their young bodies.
The production team witnessed the undeniably agony of children as they do a two-hour walk carrying huge sacks of coal for just 50 Pesos and 5 Pesos for those who are younger.
Indeed, this is Pasans eye-opener to the countrys struggle against child labor that grounds todays misfortune of young Filipinos.
Kudos to BBrC 4-2s Pasan production team for keeping an eye of todays reality!

PUNDIDO: A PICTURE OF EXCELLENCE AND HEART
Excellent scripting
A simple story with a lot of heart
